 May is Bike Month!!
Join the 350 Sacramento team for May is Bike Month. It’s easy. Simply register(you must re-register each year), select 350 Sacramento as your team (you can have a work team too), and ride however many miles you pledge. This is a great opportunity to practice going car-free (or car-lite), get some exercise, enjoy the outdoors, and help the climate. Plus fun activities, raffles, and badges. Register in April and get your Early Bird Badge.

Hear stories about some of the most severely impacted communities in CA at Drilling Down Into Health Impacts: The Effects of Oil and Gas on California’s CommunitiesMonday, April 18 from 6:30–8:30 @ Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1300 N St. Free but you must RSVP. Cosponsored by Rootskeeper, Breast Cancer Action, Center for Biological Diversity, Physicians for Social Responsibility, 350 Sacramento, and many other concerned groups.

Transition Streets will meet again on April 21
If you’ve been meaning to cut your carbon footprint, this is a great place to start. Transition Streets brings neighbors together in small groups to evaluate and make changes in your use of energy, transportation, food, waste, water, etc. Strengthen your neighborhood, save money, make friends. This meeting is both for those who have already started the program and anyone interested in leanring more about Transition Streets. 7–8:30 pm at Belle Cooledge Library. May 14: We’ll “Break Free from Fossil Fuels”
It’s a global wave of resistance!! Around the world people are Breaking Free from Fossil Fuels, including our closest action in LA. We’re still working on plans; stay tuned. Contact Megan or Chris to help.
