On June 14, the federal government is planning to auction off public land for drilling, fracking, and mining. Communities across the West have been showing up in a powerful way to challenge these auctions, where land is being leased for as little as $2 an acre.
What: Join the bus to Reno. We will use our voices, our art, and our people power to protest the auction before it begins. Lunch/snacks, too. When: Tuesday, June 14, at 5:30 am. Return to Sacramento by 4 pm. Where: Meet at the California State Capitol Building, 1315 10th St, at 5:30 am (sharp!). |
