The TPP would be an absolute disaster for the climate. The more we learn about it the scarier it is. Get involved: contact your representatives, sign petitions, take to the streets. Don’t miss the free Rock Against the TPP concert in San Francisco on Sept 9.

Transition Steets: the individual role in the global transition to 100% renewable 
While we work to accelerate the transition to 100% renewable energy in Sacramento city and county, individuals can do their part too. Transition Streets offers an easy and sociable way to make changes in your own household. The guidebook takes you step by step through an evaluation of your usage of energy, food, waste, water, etc., and provides suggestions for saving energy and money. The meetings provide a friendly place to discuss and share your transition with others, and help build community and resiliency. It's win-win all around.

The next Transition Streets meeting will be held on September 22from 7–8:30pm at Belle Cooledge Library. There will be a report on the 100% energy system on Denmark’s island of Samso by Charlotte Glode, discussion of a new 350 Sacramento/SMUD partnership, and planning for Transition Streets gatherings through April 2017. Come to this event, make friends, and learn what you can do in your own home to help transition to a renewable future. Contact Richard Lentz for more info.
